Wedding Venue Review: Le Talbooth

High-class, riverside romance

Have you considered Le Talbooth for your wedding? It is part of the Milsoms Hotel group and is primarily known for it's 5 star restaurant service but it is also a great wedding venue. It has everything you need in one place, from it's old-world charm, the River Stour running through it's grounds and a large, modern marquee for big celebrations. The views of the river are just breathtaking, it's a relaxing atmosphere for summer events.

Let's explore the unique character of Le Talbooth and the unforgettable photography opportunities it provides.

Where you say I Do

The Riverside Room can be found in the old building which exudes charm and history with its exposed beams and rustic ambiance. While officially accommodating up to 130 guests, we recommend using this space for a more intimate ceremony, seating around 50 guests for a comfortable experience. As expected with old buildings, it can be quite dark with regards to photography. While not a problem, it’s something to consider if you desire, bright, vibrant photos.

The Grounds

Le Talbooth's charm lies in its picturesque setting alongside the peaceful River Stour. Arriving at your ceremony by boat or treating your guests to a brief river ride adds a unique touch to your special day. While the grounds may be compact, its meticulously maintained garden offers a stunning backdrop overlooking the river, providing ample photo opportunities and scenic spots for your portraits.

Dancing the night away

Enjoy your evening reception in the spacious and elegant marquee, perfect for accommodating additional guests. The blank canvas can be decorated to suit your wedding theme with romantic fairy lights, colourful lanterns or keep it classic. If delicious food is a priority for you, Le Talbooth won't disappoint with its renowned culinary offerings. Indulge in a wedding breakfast that's just as delightful as the venue's picturesque surroundings.
