4 tier, white wedding cake

Sweet and Simple

The neutral tones of this cake make it elegant and sophisticated, whilst also being b-e-a-utiful! The use of different textures in the icing and the ribbons look amazing. Of course, even the cake stand and decoration make a huge impact on the final display and here the wooden tree trunk and soft flowers are perfect.

three tier colourful wedding cake

Bold and Colourful

Perhaps the complete opposite to the first cake, is this colourful creation. If you are loud, bubbly and colourful, then your cake can be too! They have played with different colours and patterns to create this eye-catching piece.

A lot of wedding cakes are white or muted colours so we love it when our couples think outside the box. Let your mind run wild - what crazy wedding cake can you imagine?

wedding cake with secret design at the back

Secret in the back

Now, these are a real crowd pleaser. From the front, this looks like a normal, classic, white wedding cake, beautifully decorated with flowers. But come round the back and you’re in for a big surprise!

This design allows you to add a splash of colour and personality to your cake in a fun way. We love it!

two wedding cake and lots of cupcakes

Why stop at one?

This is quite a unique way of displaying a wedding cake but it gives you the freedom to have multiple cakes, flavours and designs. Here they have chosen two matching cakes and a mountain of cupcakes, but what is stopping you from having two separate, completely different cakes? The tiers don’t have to be on top of one another, they could be side by side.

Flowers and Macarons

This is an almost naked cake where you can still see the sponge below the thin layer of icing. The decorations are gorgeous adding a touch of colour with the flowers. But what makes this one special is the addition of the macarons dotted about. Yum yum.

Chocoholic Cake

Traditionally, wedding cakes have been fruitcake with marzipan and icing but that’s not always everyone’s preferred taste. So this dreamy chocolate cake (which made for stunning pictures and left our mouths watering) stood out as a real crowd-pleaser because, really, who doesn’t like chocolate?

There’s no denying it is an original, confident choice for anyone’s wedding day but with the traditional three tiers and flawless design, it kept everyone happy on this occasion. And it smelled amazing!

Tell a story

Of course, the design and finish of this cake is flawless with the cascading icing flowers and pearls at the base of each cake. And they went for a bold colour option to match their wedding colour theme. But what we love most about this wedding cake is that it tells the story of proposing through the wedding day.

What story could you tell on each tier of your cake?

tower of macarons

Not-a-cake cake

If you’re not into cake (I know! but some people aren’t) here is an alternative. This couple simply made a tower out of macarons. Smart! They even decorated the bottom with marshmallows and brownies, so there’s something for everyone.

This saves on money and creates a colourful statement.

Themed Cake

Try and keep any children attending your wedding away from this one!  There really are no boundaries when it comes to cake design these days, so get creative and include your cake within the theme of your day.  Consider the base on which your cake stands too which is shown brilliantly here with edible Lego blocks to tie it all together.

For board game lovers, you could cover the base with Scrabble tiles or for card enthusiasts, with a deck of cards. The possibilities are endless.

three tier white and yellow wedding cake

Classic Elegance

This cake continues the weddings colour scheme. Three classic tiers, one with a ruffle effect and one with a pop of colour with the yellow is a visual masterpiece. Even the cake stand is classically simple, leaving all eyes on the cake.
