Wedding Photography at Marks Hall

Real wedding at Marks Hall, Colchester

Lauren actually heard about us on Facebook where she saw that we had photographed a wedding of someone she had known at school. Once she found out that we know Marks Hall well, she secured her date with us – a (hopefully) sunny day in July.

Our bride was getting ready at her home in Colchester with her bridesmaids, so we met her there. She had put so much thought into the details of the day, we know we had to get some lovely pictures for her to remember them by. The couples two young daughters were adorable – we love spending time with the young bridesmaids to get those cute portraits in the pretty dresses. Bradi, the groom, was awaiting his bride at Marks Hall where we captured his final getting ready bits with his best man – they were great fun to work with.

Outdoor wedding ceremony at Marks Hall

An outdoor ceremony was planned in the courtyard of the Coach House at Marks Hall Estate. Just minutes before it was due to start the sky was looking pretty grey. Thankfully, it was only a quick bit of drizzle and then it cleared up so we didn’t get too wet! It was a lovely service under the gazebo and the bride and groom looked so happy and excited. Unfortunately it rained during the group photos so we waited to do the couples portraits after the speeches.

The reception was held inside the Coach House itself, decorated with fairy lights for a magical atmosphere. Again, the details were so beautiful and creative they added to the mood. The speeches had everything you would hope for at a wedding – they were funny, entertaining and heartfelt. It was such a relief when the rain stopped and we were able to take our couple into the large grounds of the estate. Lauren and Bradi were so happy with each other it was a pleasure to spend time with them and easy to direct them for their portraits.#younglove.
