Kirby and Gary’s Manor House wedding at Seckford Hall
Kirby and Gary’s summer manor house wedding at Seckford Hall was one of those days where everything just felt easy. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed in like one of their friends, and it set the tone for a genuinely lovely, relaxed celebration.
A fun, thoroughly enjoyable wedding with the most lovely couple
Getting Ready
The morning was full of laughter, including one moment that definitely won’t be forgotten anytime soon. One of the bridesmaids had got ready in a fitted top… which turned out to be far too fitted once hair and makeup were done. The only solution? Cutting her out of it!
It’s exactly why robes are such a popular choice for getting ready - but moments like this are all part of the story, and always bring a bit of light-hearted chaos to the morning.
The Ceremony
Their outdoor ceremony was touch and go. The weather app had been threatening rain, but the co-ordinator gave the go-ahead - and it paid off. It stayed dry, and the setting looked incredible.
‘Butterfly Flowers’ had created a beautiful, large floral display at the gazebo, which framed the ceremony perfectly. With the grounds of Seckford Hall as the backdrop, it was everything you’d want from a summer manor house wedding ceremony.
The People
If there’s one thing that really makes a wedding, it’s the people - and Kirby and Gary had the best. Their guests were warm, welcoming, and completely up for a good time. From the drinks reception onwards, everyone got involved, whether that was chatting, playing games, or just soaking up the atmosphere. It made the whole day feel relaxed, joyful, and full of energy in the best way.
The Portraits
Seckford Hall is one of those venues that gives you options everywhere you turn. Whether staying close by for a few quick portraits or taking a little more time to explore, there are beautiful backdrops both inside and out. For Kirby and Gary, we kept things relaxed and varied - a mix of natural moments together and a few individual portraits too.
The Reception
The reception had some brilliant personal touches, including one of my favourite ideas - a tabletop game of personalised “spot the difference”. Kirby and Gary had altered a photo of themselves to create ten differences for guests to find. It was simple, effective, and a great way to keep everyone entertained while waiting for food.
And once the first dance was done, the dancefloor filled quickly. One of my favourite moments from the day was Kirby dancing with her bridesmaids - completely carefree and full of energy.
